My latest Our State documentary, “Becoming Clyde,” airs tonight at 9pm on UNC-TV, and will be rebroadcast Thursday at 7:30! It features author and distinguished writing professor Clyde Edgerton (pictured), who taught a class I took as a student at UNC-Wilmington. Clyde was so much fun to work with and gave an incredible interview, and my colleagues and I are honored that he took the time to take part in this project. The film also features Clyde’s daughter Catherine Edgerton of Midtown Dickens, who graciously allowed us to film at her garage studio. Thanks to everyone who helped make it possible! Also, be sure to catch the segment before mine, “The Mineral City,” directed by David Hardy. It’s an awesome film featuring the geological wonders of the Spruce Pine mining district.
